WINDSOR, ON, Aug. 28, 2026 /CNW/ -- J.P. Wiser's Canadian Whisky is proud to announce the J.P. Wiser's Whisky Weekend, coming to the historic Hiram Walker Distillery in Windsor, Ontario, on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, 2026, with a kick-off Masterclass Friday, October 2.

Held in celebration of the birthday of J.P. Wiser himself – the man whose vision helped put Canadian whisky on the map – Whisky Weekend honours his legacy and the generations of people who have carried it forward in Windsor. This event was created to celebrate the history and evolution of Canadian Whisky by exploring how whisky is made, tasting different expressions with fellow whisky enthusiasts.

Across two days, guests will have the opportunity to experience the distillery in a new way, with tours, rare tastings, immersive masterclasses led by one of Canada's leading whisky experts, specialty cocktails, food and live music. From exploring how whisky is made and aged to sampling expressions rarely available to the public, Whisky Weekend will offer an up-close look at the expertise behind some of Canada's most celebrated whiskies.

A Weekend of Unique Whisky Experiences

Guests can choose from a range of offerings throughout the weekend:

General Admission grants access to the J.P. Wiser's Experience grounds, featuring live music, historical distillery artifacts, outdoor games, food trucks, specialty cocktails, whisky flights, and retail shopping.

Distillery Tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at the Hiram Walker Distillery, taking guests through the history, production process, and craftsmanship behind Canadian whisky.

Lot No. 40 Rye Explorations Masterclass, hosted by Master Blender Dr. Don Livermore, will celebrate the launch of the newest Lot No. 40 limited release alongside a curated tasting of rare and award-winning expressions from the brand's archives.

Rare Whisky Masterclass, also led by Dr. Don Livermore, will give guests the opportunity to sample a collection of ultra-premium and archival J.P. Wiser's whiskies rarely available to the public.

Pike Creek Warehouse Experience offers exclusive access to a Pike Creek ageing warehouse, where guests will learn about whisky maturation and enjoy special cask-strength tastings in the very place the whisky is aged.
